How to do daily maintenance of rigid endoscope after use
The degree of maintenance of the rigid endoscope after use will directly affect the life of the rigid endoscope. Only careful daily maintenance can prolong the service life of rigid endoscopes, reduce the wear and aging of rigid endoscopes, reduce maintenance costs, and reduce unnecessary downtime.
(1) After the operation, the bedside examination should be carried out first. Check whether the rigid endoscope has any faults during use, such as bending and deformation of the insertion part caused by external force; whether the insertion part is stabbed by a sharp tool; whether the eyepiece part is damaged; whether the cover glass of the objective lens part is damaged or the tip of the optical fiber is worn and so on. If there is a problem, the subsequent cleaning and disinfection steps should be stopped immediately to prevent the failure of rigid endoscopes from expanding.
(2) The rigid endoscope body can be cleaned only after the bedside inspection is completed. After the light guide connector cools down naturally, the lens body should be rinsed as soon as possible; the front end of the objective lens and the stains should be wiped with gauze as soon as possible to prevent the stains from drying up and affecting the optical path or image path. If there are detachable components in the instrument department, they should be disassembled and carefully cleaned and dried to prevent rust. After cleaning, it should be completely dried, and the rigid endoscope should be properly stored in the special endoscope instrument box, ready for sterilization.
