Application of Industrial Endoscope in Metal Welding
Art creation and craftsmanship are always inseparable. As an industrial technology, the emergence of welding has catered to the need for new technological methods in the development of metal art. In manufacturing, welding is often used to join two or more metal parts. Since these connections may experience loads and fatigue during the product life cycle, they may fail if they are not created in accordance with the correct specifications. Typical welding defects (the weld is not fused with the base metal, cracks or pores appear in the weld, and the density of the weld is different/uneven, etc.) may cause structural cracks or pipeline rupture. Welding defects that can be found by inspection with industrial endoscopes include: welding cracks, porosity, incomplete penetration, lack of fusion, slag inclusion, incomplete sidewall welding, pits, and residual slag at the weld.
Application of industrial endoscope in metal welding:
1. It can effectively detect all kinds of defects in welding.
2. Non-destructive testing can be achieved without disassembly or destruction of assembly and equipment shutdown. When viewing, it can also be recorded, and the procedure, cause and location of welding defects can be analyzed by connecting the display.
3. For the entire welding procedure, it provides more inspection without leaving dead corners, so that the product quality is better guaranteed.
4. Welding defects that can be inspected mainly include welding cracks, pores, undercuts, incomplete penetration, incomplete fusion, slag inclusion, collapse, pits, burn-through, inclusions, weld bead and other deficiencies.
Industrial endoscopes can observe the welding seam at different positions. In the case of disassembly or destruction of assembly and equipment shutdown, it can accurately display the defects in welding to reduce the loss of raw materials in the product manufacturing stage, reduce the cost loss caused by customer returns, and extend the use time of the product.
